French Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 thick slices bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat a griddle to 350°F or heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, add eggs, milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla. whisk until well combined.
  3. Dip bread slices into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated on both sides, and place on the hot, greased griddle or skillet.
  4. Cook for a few minutes, until the bottom of the bread is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until golden as well.
  5. Remove to a plate and serve warm with syrup and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.

Protips

  • Use day-old or slightly stale bread for best results.
  • Adjust cinnamon and vanilla to taste for extra flavor.
