French Toast#
Ingredients#
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 thick slices bread
Instructions#
- Preheat a griddle to 350°F or heat a skillet over medium heat.
- In a bowl, add eggs, milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla. whisk until well combined.
- Dip bread slices into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated on both sides, and place on the hot, greased griddle or skillet.
- Cook for a few minutes, until the bottom of the bread is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until golden as well.
- Remove to a plate and serve warm with syrup and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
Protips#
- Use day-old or slightly stale bread for best results.
- Adjust cinnamon and vanilla to taste for extra flavor.
